Job Description

Role Overview

We are looking to hire an Account Manager to join Blue 449 as a crucial member of the planning team to drive Planning across three great, performance focused accounts within the Premium Snacking, Health/Wellbeing and Transport categories.

Reporting into the Account Director, the successful person will frequently be the regular day-to-day contact with cross agency teams as well as clients. They will be responsible for much of the ongoing management of campaign activation, budgets and quality control for media schedules received from our investment teams.

The Account Manager will also actively contribute to the managing, training and development of three direct reports within the team (a Graduate, Planner and a Senior Planner) with the support of your Account Director.

Externally facing, the Account Manager will represent the Blue 449 culture and collaborative, outcome first ethos at all times whether dealing with clients, media owners or partner agencies.

Due to the digital first, DR focused nature of these accounts, strong digital knowledge coupled with an interest in data and an eye for numbers is key! There will still be some brand work, although DR is a heavy focus of the role.

Knowledge, skills and attitude required

•    As Account Manager, we are looking for a clear understanding of the media marketplace, and a good working knowledge of all DR media channels, including a strong grasp of digital and strong interest in working with data to achieve positive business outcomes. 
•   We are looking for competence in the planning and curation of cost efficient media plans, which align with the overall brand strategy.
•    Ability to present clearly & confidently to clients, articulate the agency recommended position and help sell in proposals and plans.  
•   Have the skills to enable client to assess the contribution of one medium from another
•    Able to efficiently manage deadlines, prioritise tasks and manage your own workload, as well as contributing to the management of your direct reports.
•   Consistently demonstrate proactivity and initiative 
•   A good degree of financial aptitude to ensure accurate client budgeting, accounting & reporting on your accounts. 
•   An ideas person,who is outcome oriented excited to brainstorm new approaches and solutions for clients. 
•   Collaborative nature, enjoyment of fast pace.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate would have;
•    Media planning experience on DR focused account/s 
•    Experience of line managing a Planner, Graduate or Apprentice 
•    Have worked on a fast paced account 
•    Strong digital knowledge 
•    Highly numerate and data focused, with great attention to detail
