Job Description

The Publicis Media Global Business Development team is a tight knit group of superstar performers. We share a passion for collaboration with all Publicis Media brands and practices to deliver world class pitches and accelerate growth. The Director, Global Business Development position sits within the central ‘hub’ of the business development practice.
The Director will be a critical contributor to the delivery of Publicis Media revenue growth, responsible for leading global pitch engagements, elevating our strategic proposition, and connecting key talent from across brands, practices, and geographies to produce world class pitch outputs.

Core Responsibilities

1.    Produce winning work
•    Full accountability for first-class pitch management from opportunity assessment to post-pitch contact strategy on significant global or multi-market pitches ($10MM+ revenue)
•    Elevate the strategic proposition and commercial offering; support pitch leads in telling simple but compelling, brand-led stories
 

2.    Lead teams
•    Build strong and connected teams to help clients solve their business challenges
•    Close collaboration across Publicis Media (and Publicis Groupe) to ensure a consistent strategy is deployed on multi-market pitches

3.    Manage people
•    Coach and mentor business development talent to ensure seamless management of pitch processes and elevate strategic proposition
•    Set and manage expectations of senior Brand and PM executives across the pitch process

4.    Scale excellence
•    Collaborate with Local Business Development leads and CEOs to share best practice materials and provide in-market support on key local pitches (when required)
•    Ensure consistent improvement from pitch to pitch, pushing new boundaries in our product
 

Qualifications

•    Bachelors’ degree and relevant media planning/strategy, integrated marketing, or similar experience
•    Able to include periods of travel (possibly over weekends) as part of regular routine
•    Analytical with a strong strategic point of view; ability to “think like a client” to uncover what they need and how we can supply a winning proposition
•    Fearless and active leader in group settings
•    Can effectively consult, manage and occasionally challenge all levels of management and personnel
•    Winning writing skills – a natural story-teller
•    Self-starter who can take a task, own it, run with it, and find better ways of doing it
•    Believes no ask is too big and no detail too small
•    Ability to perform in a fast paced and changing environment, under pressure to deadline
