Job Description

The Manager reports to the Associate Media Director, supervising Associates and Jr. Associates. The Manager develops digital strategies and coordinates media plans for our client's products and/or services.  He/She will work closely with the media and analytics team to maintain quality control of the media campaigns in market and continually evaluate and improve performance against client goals.  The Manager is key to building and maintaining industry publisher relationships.  We are looking for a strategic thinker who can be a mentor to junior planners, a leader within the agency and a partner with our clients.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates understanding of social advertising campaign management and optimization best practices across Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Pinterest, Snapchat, etc.
• Develop digital media strategies and tactical approach
• Liaison between clients, partners and execution team to ensure clear communication and campaign execution
• Develop content distribution campaigns
• Work with publishers to develop 3rd party content
• Provide media expertise, share media knowledge and provide continuous feedback
• Train and mentors junior planners on best practices of online media planning/buying
• Assign and manage workload of  junior media planners
• Work closely with partners to build and maintain relationships
• Manage client budgets across multiple tactics (primary focus on Social, Native, and Content)
• Foster environment of shared learning and acts as a trusted source of media information for agency and client meetings
• Partners with Analytics, Ad Ops, Creative teams
• Provides strategic insights for weekly client reports
• Writes media POVs

Qualifications

• BA/BS Required
• 3-5 years of overall media planning experience, minimum of  2 years Social media planning is preferred
• Experience with social media strategy and implementation, preferably in paid media
• Experience leveraging social listenting tools to gather insights and applying those insights to media planning
• Demonstrated success in mentoring and developing junior staff
• Exceptional verbal/written communication and organization skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
• Solid presentation skills
• Knowledge of Ad Serving technology
• Knowledge of media tools (Prisma, comScore)
• Experience working on Financial Services brands is preferred, but not required
