Job Description
Overview:
The Senior Vice President, Client Solutions has ultimate accountability for driving both client relationships and revenue within their client portfolio. In this role, the SVP has ultimate responsibility for the client relationship, holding all internal resources allocated to their clients accountable for delivering an integrated work product across our global network. They are also responsible for the merchandising and promotion of the work being delivered. The SVP will own, and be accountable for the delivery of, the overall business plan and commercial roadmap for their clients. The Senior Vice President will serve as a member of the Global client leadership team, helping to drive overall agency business and working to shape the future success.
Role Objectives:
Account Management
Ultimate accountability for client satisfaction and growth
Manage the matrix structure across the assigned book of business to drive success
Drive integration across the assigned booking of business with communication and collaboration across the Publicis Media network and Power of One a key focus
Leadership of global ad tech partnerships and driving innovation
Client Leadership
Serve as the Executive Steward across the book of business, building C-level relationships
Drive the development of and participate in QBR
Maintain a strong understanding of marketplace conditions relevant to the client and use that knowledge for ongoing communication
Practice Development
Continuous improvement and implementation of practices, processes and tools that drive client satisfaction and innovation
Identify and develop product adjacencies to grow business and retain clients across all Performics services
Work across all VP, Group Account Directors to monitor overall operational model and create constant efficiency
Team Leadership & Development
Drive a culture based on team work, collaboration with accountability and intellectual curiosity
Manage and coach VP and Director level team members, working to drive client business objectives and the strategic vision of Performics
Owns the hiring, training and mentoring of senior level talent within the assigned book of business
Conducts performance reviews and career path plans for direct reports
New Business
Serves as strategic business lead in appropriate business development opportunities in conjunction with the assigned pitch team; garners support from within the assigned book of business
Contributes to prospecting through personal and professional network
Identifies key contributors from within the assigned book of business who are capable of successful new business participation
About the Client:
Samsung is a vast Korean electronics company, making both B2C and B2B products. Starcom is the AOR responsible for their media strategy & buying across Mobile devices, Wearables, Cameras, Televisions, Washer & Dryers and more. The Samsung e-Commerce team however is a Performics led team to ensure the best performance marketing talent is leading the growth of Samsung’s eCommerce business.
Samsung has been a Starcom and Performics client globally (80+ markets) for over five years, with a pilot program for IM (Internet Mobile) eCommerce launching in January 2017. The Samsung Global eCommerce teams will based in London and New York, with local teams spanning across the globe. This role will entail communication across all regions.
As a client, Samsung is constantly both shaping the Electronics category and reacting to market conditions and can be highly demanding with; alignment needed between different Samsung Global divisions, multiple Samsung stakeholders at global/regional/local levels, coordination between Starcom and Performics global/regional/local levels, alignment needed between different Samsung Global product launches and campaigns
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree, concentration in business, marketing, or advertising preferred; Master’s Degree in business, advertising or marketing optimal
Successfully worked in a VP role in the digital space for 4 years, career experience specifically in digital media preferred
10-15 years of account management experience in digital marketing, direct marketing or e-commerce, client and/or agency experience preferred
8-10 years of demonstrated success in managing and leading people
Proven success in delivering clear, strategic presentations to C-level marketing executives and managing multi-market engagements
Minimum 2 years P&L management preferred
