Job Description

PLEASE NOTE: Candidates for this role must be able to work out of our Chicago, New York, or Philadelphia offices.

The Strategy and Engagement group at Razorfish Health is responsible for the development of insights-driven, customer-centered marketing strategies and programs for Razorfish Health clients, leveraging all channels to build exceptional brand experiences across relevant touch points. The Associate Director of Strategy focuses on translating brand strategy, audience identification/segmentation, behavioral targeting, into holistic user experiences across channels. The primary role of the Strategist is to establish baseline analytics and key performance indicators in order to derive actionable insights and identify opportunities to improve future performance. 

The Associate Director of Strategy will have accountability at the account level and will help our clients make better business decisions through a deeper understanding of their customer’s beliefs, behaviors, and preferences around engagement. You will be required to make strong business cases for transformative engagement strategies, customer targeting, and multi-channel activation. The Strategy and Engagement group works collaboratively with Account Management, Creative, Media, Advocacy, Scientific and Speaker Bureau team members, ensuring all team members have input on strategy development and are fully briefed on customer behavioral insights.   

Responsibilities 

  • Develop multi-channel strategies with recommended messaging schedule, tactics, and measurement plan 
  • Collaborate with agency’s creative and user experience teams to augment client proposals with digital strategy and tactical extensions and identify digital scope parameters 
  • Conduct comprehensive audit of client’s existing online presence, web properties, technical platforms, digital assets and social media channels in order to provide a detailed recommendation for a more robust, streamlined, digital eco-system 
  • Work with internal and external resources to articulate the strategic approach, along with the content and measurement strategy that best supports the overarching creative concept or campaign platform 
  • Work closely with internal team in making specific and actionable client recommendations  
  • Leverage interviews, social listening tools, online analytics, ethnographic research, consumer surveys or CRM data to develop segmentation profiles or user personas 
  • Optimize and monitor trends in client’s market and appropriately adjust strategy, tactics and timelines 
  • Provide ongoing internal or client facing PoVs on innovative insights or industry trends relevant to agency’s suite of capabilities 

Qualifications

Job Requirements 

  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in social sciences, economics, business or marketing/communications  
  • A minimum of 3 years agency experience leading and/or contributing to client strategy engagements 
  • Passionate about improving healthcare communications and engagements with at least 2 years’ experience working directly in the pharmaceutical, biotech, or health and wellness space. 

Skills Requirements 

  • Demonstrated ability to think comprehensively and proactively about brand marketing strategy and engagement/channel strategy, including program development  
  • Experience in generating and strategically applying both qualitative and quantitative research 
  • Experience conducting strategic and tactical planning across all target audiences (i.e. HCP, Patient, Payer) and all channels (i.e. traditional in-person reps and conferences, social media, print, digital) 
  • Expertise in digital and multi-channel marketing, including experience in mobile (mHealth), closed-loop marketing (CLM), customer relationship management (CRM) and non-personal promotion (NPP) 
  • Solid understanding of the fundamentals of user experience (UX) and interaction design (IxD), social media and online and behavioral advertising 
  • Client-facing communication skills and the ability to write clear and concise presentations for client summarizing data insights, outcomes and implications in straight-forward and enlightening way for clients 
  • Strong curiosity, motivation, and a preference for a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment  
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and teamwork skills, with ability to work across agency and network teams

Compensation Range:  $98,500 - $165,500 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time.
