Job Description

PLEASE NOTE: Candidates for this role must be able to work out of our Chicago, New York, or Philadelphia offices.

A Group Copy Supervisor here at Razorfish Health would be tasked with partnering with our teams to lead copy development across one or more brands, ensuring clinical accuracy, editorial elegance and consistency in brand voice. In short, generate exceptional, appropriate copy and direct other copywriters to do the same. They would be responsible for leading and executing and executing long-form and short-form copy development for one or more brand engagements across HCP, DTC, and OTC audiences in the pharmaceutical marketing sector. Other responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

  • Partner with Creative, Account, and Client teams to ensure copy that advances creative brief objectives and accomplishes marketing objectives  
  • Be the point person for original (directed) copy development on assigned client engagements, including both tactical projects (websites and interactive marketing applications), and creative campaigns  
  • Present to, build relationships with, and find actionable paths forward based on the critiques of client MLR (medical, legal, regulatory) teams 
  • Participate fully in the development creative briefs and of strategic and tactical plans 
  • Be alert to changes in the client’s marketplace; evaluate work in light of the marketing situation 
  • Work with the client directly on developing solutions and presenting ideas 
  • Work more independently, under tight deadlines, while juggling multiple projects 
  • Articulate a clear direction to studio, vendors, and junior staff 
  • Have expert knowledge of the science in order to use it innovatively 
  • Begin to master nuances of the work and show ability to think on feet 
  • Work on multiple projects simultaneously and juggle writing demands 
  • Ensure copy tone and style are consistent with brand and style guidelines 
  • Make sound decisions in an expedient manner 
  • Uphold the highest standards for all agency work while upholding agency performance standards in all direct reports  

Qualifications

  • At least 7-10+ years of professional writing experience in an advertising or interactive agency  
  • Must have 1-3+ years of pharma or health/healthcare experience  
  • Project lead and team leadership experience is required 
  • Must have strong experience working on large cross-channel and/or direct marketing initiatives including rich media, web, direct, and print. Experience with online and social media is strongly preferred 
  • A strong and diverse portfolio is required for consideration 
  • Must be open to travel as needed for client engagements

Compensation Range:  $98,500 - $165,500 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time.
