Job Description

This temporary, 9-month position will work as an embedded member of our client's Technical Program Management team.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage email component development projects and large technical web/CMS implementations
  • Utilize Jira to record estimates, track progress, and visualize team workload
  • Conduct regular team meetings to review ticket level of effort, identify roadblocks, and adjust plans as needed.
  • Work with product and tech to identify features that rely on email development and ensure the team can handle the workload without impacting other priorities.
  • Act as primary point of contact between product, tech, and other stakeholders.
  • Facilitate transparent information flow, manage expectations, and proactively address concerns during future feature planning stages.
  • Partner with agency-leads on weekly status documentation and meetings
    • Track, manage and communicates project progress to clients
    • Track, document, and manage the project schedule
  • Understand, clarify, and document project-specific requirements
  • Contribute to the creation and maintenance of documentation and project specifications
  • Provide leadership and direction to design and development staff for assigned projects
  • Facilitate effective and efficient client and team meetings to further project process
  • Assist client with the creation of email component project intake forms

Qualifications

  • At least 5-7 years of project management experience within the technical space delivering digital solutions that may include customer / user experience, strategy, data, and technology.
  • Experience working in a Marketing or Advertising agency 
  • Strong understanding of the different delivery methodologies with their pros and cons and their applicability; (Waterfall, Hybrid, Scrum, Kanban, XP)
  • An advanced user of the tools and methodologies required to deliver the work
  • JIRA expertise is a must
  • Knowledge of the project inputs / documentation required for defining acceptance criteria, e.g. stories and use cases
  • Experience with QA best practices, systems, and testing
  • Knowledge on how email is developed and implemented
  • Solid understanding of web-based design and technology principles, along with site development methodologies and best practices
  • Experience working with agile global distributed teams
  • Solid understanding of project management methodologies including the ability to identify and resolve issues, manage risk, develop detailed work plans and specifications, perform resource allocations, and run team meetings
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical, problem solving, negotiating, influencing, facilitation, organizational, prioritization, decision making, and conflict resolution skills
  • Demonstrated ability to inspire teamwork and take a leadership role
  • Successful history of client contact including experience in setting and managing client expectations
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong active listening skills during team meetings and client interactions, summarizing key points, and asking relevant questions to ensure understanding
  • Ability to solve problems with keen instincts and organizational experience
  • Effectively organizes and uses internal tools (Confluence, JIRA, Box, MS Teams, Basecamp, Wiki, etc.) to meet project and Client requirements
  • Ability to manage risks and issue proactively, rather than reactive

Compensation Range: $80 - 100/hr. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time.
