Job Description

We are looking for a Design Director with a mastery of experience design and a passion to create exceptional digital products for some of the world’s Health brands. This person will lead multidisciplinary teams to deliver outcome-based results for our clients and strengthen our reputation as pioneers in the industry. You’re known for your ability to build connections between teams. You bring together diverse points of view to arrive at transformational solutions. In addition to your natural leadership qualities, you’re able to adapt when things change. You’re the type of person who can bring people together in the midst of ambiguity. He/She/They will define Health industry-specific offerings that ladder to the larger Experience Capability Group and Industry strategy. The Director will be a deep subject-matter expert in the Health industry and have the ability to drive its long-term growth continuously improving the quality delivery of work.

Your Impact

  • Craft clear narratives and goals
  • Accountable for overall Experience delivery and commercial value within industry portfolio of accounts: driving industry specific Experience thought leadership, strategic planning, pipeline growth, yield, collaboration across SPEED leadership, and Experience governance over estimation, team structure, execution, outcomes
  • Support and drive business development and growth across the industry’s business, demonstrating Experience as a differentiator
  • Lead large, complex initiatives in which you champion for the needs of the customer, within our Health industry group
  • Own multidisciplinary accounts and projects, and drive growth through new business pitches
  • Develop thought leadership materials within the Design and Retail space Nurture and grow client relationships to shape the strategies that deliver business value and increase customer engagement
  • Design and lead cross-disciplinary idea generation and client co-creation sessions, workshops and design sprints
  • Guide the direction for discovery, research and data synthesis to identify critical user insights and develop hypotheses to design effective experiences
  • Focus on the people development of team members
  • Sell the quality of both the team’s work and the work that clients should be doing
  • Possess deep understanding of design craft, tools and process 
  • Guide systems design for impacting for user’s needs
  • Deliver high-quality work through managing others
  • Possess a holistic view of the work to generate realistic goals for their project teams to meet
  • Clarify and define success metrics for client and business impact
  • Design detailed solutions that address clear customer needs, business context, client vision, and project KPIs
  • Guide the creation and facilitation of workshops, structured brainstorms, or other collaboration exercises
  • Model the relationship for collaboration between Experience and Engineering capabilities
  • Identify, define and regularly pitch new opportunities to bring value to client engagements

Qualifications

  • A portfolio that reflects your subject matter expertise in Health care, and deep experience at the intersection of strategy and design in a leadership capacity with an emphasis on driving profitable growth and commercial value.
  • Ability to manage multiple and complex priorities and make connections outside the capability with an eye on driving growth and integration
  • Deep visioning and narrative creation skills
  • Data and insights analysis to determine experience success metrics & KPIs
  • Experience leading teams and mentoring careers of associate design talent
  • Ownership and guidance of your and your teams' overall design process 
  • Complex system mapping and process mapping 
  • Advanced prototyping skills with either software or live code
  • Advanced knowledge of audits and competitive landscaping
  • Project scope estimating and managing 
  • Consultancy and business strategy client experience
  • Public speaking and pitch delivery Experience working with large retailers
  • Demonstrated ability to design and facilitate workshops with senior-level clients
  • Experience in Agile and Lean UX methodologies
  • Proficient in scoping and estimating UI/UX tasks
  • Track record of UX leadership on large healthcare projects (~$5M+)
  • Consulting experience is a must but still have a humanistic viewpoint

Pay Range: $165,000 - $200,000 

The range shown represents a grouping of relevant ranges currently in use at Publicis Sapient. Actual  range for this position may differ, depending on location and specific skillset required for the work itself.
