Job Description

Epsilon is seeking a Data Science Intern who will be responsible for applying various statistical and data analysis techniques in support of a variety of analytic solutions. This position will support the Analytic Group which partners with both internal and external clients, and data providers, leveraging predictive analytics and advanced statistical techniques to drive strategic thought and effective decision making.

As an intern you’ll participate in a formal Intern Program, which is an 11-week summer program that aims to create a meaningful early career experience for university students. The program offers professional development & hands-on training, networking opportunities with people throughout the business including multiple projects & social events, and the consideration for full-time employment.

Responsibilities May Include (All or Some) Tasks Below:

  • Provide quality, statistically valid analysis and related output
  • Employ appropriate data analysis techniques and statistical methodologies such as regression analysis (both linear and non-linear), cluster analysis, CHAID, factor analysis/principal component analysis, time series, survival models, experimental designs using SAS and other statistical software under minimal supervision
  • Appropriately account for the timeliness and quality of all assignments
  • Collaborate with cross-functional internal resources
  • Apply basic analytical techniques to explore raw data, identify data issues, and QA/QC data and analysis output to ensure accuracy
  • Manage multiple projects concurrently
  • Monitor project progress relative to timeline and scope
  • Create appropriate documentation for the analytical work

Qualifications:

  • Candidate for Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree with technical and/or quantitative concentration
  • Strong analytic thought process and ability to interpret findings
  • Acute attention to detail
  • Excellent listening & communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Detail-oriented, able to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to work in a team & build effective relationships
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • Self-starter, with strong initiative
