Job Description

  • Gain an understanding of all aspects of the self-storage industry, and Public Storage’s processes.
  • Develop, lead, and coach a team of CSSs in promoting an exceptional Client/CSS relationships and improved communication. 
  • Take ownership of and be the main point of contact for a portfolio of clients.
  • Travel to complete on-site visits – frequency will change as dictated by the business.
  • Visit and evaluate local competitors as appropriate.
  • Maximize team performance through training, motivation, engagement, and goal setting.
  • Lead calls with clients to support the CSS team and conduct post-call feedback.
  • Foster and develop a working team engagement-based environment that promotes increased retention.
  • Hold recurring meetings (in-person/video) to set expectations and plan actions.
  • Utilize experience from the field to quickly address client questions, increase speed of responses, and mitigate the need to involve operations where possible.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrates a customer-centric mindset.
  • PS Operations experience preferred.
  • Responds to inquiries in a quick and positive manner.
  • Possesses fundamental analytical and problem-solving skills – enjoys collaborating to create and execute outside the box solutions to constraints. 
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills with the ability to motivate and engage others.
  • Ability to lead through change management.
  • Ability to analyze operational reports/metrics and communicate with an executive presence to internal and external stakeholders.
