Job Description

The Security Systems Administrator is responsible for the daily administration, maintenance, configuration and support of the organization’s enterprise physical security technology platforms

Responsibilities:

  • Direct responsibility for the administration of company security systems, including video management systems and burglar alarms.
  • Executes security system maintenance program, including equipment health check, performance testing and system repairs.
  • Support field personnel in maintaining property security systems, including the remote diagnosis and resolution of security system issues through programming.
  • Coordinates directly with vendors to dispatch technicians to diagnose and maintenance systems.
  • Conducts data analysis to monitor trends and reduce security system issues.
  • Remain informed on emerging security technology and system developments and recommend solutions.
  • Monitor vendor performance to ensure service excellence.
  • Assist with acquisition due diligence and facilitate property turnovers.
  • Communicate proactively with internal and external business partners.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • 5+ years in security systems management, including time as an end user.
  • Ability to multi-task and function well in a team environment
  • Excellent written and oral communication and follow-up skills
  • Experience using and programming security camera systems are preferred
  • Experience managing burglar alarm systems preferred
  • Proficient use of current Microsoft Office Products (MS Office Suite-Outlook, Word and Excel)
  • Proficiency in reading construction drawings and specifications.
  • In-depth knowledge of security systems, software solutions, and security hardware.
  • Understanding of budgeting principles for security system projects.
  • Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration skills
