Job Description

Public Storage is looking for a highly motivated, experienced Commercial Real Estate Property Manager to join our Real Estate team. The successful candidate will oversee and manage all aspects of our commercial properties, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage daily operations for commercial properties for efficiency.
  • Control property budgets for maximum profitability.
  • Create processes for managing resources, budgets, and property changes. 
  • Responsible for reconciling operating expenses, taxes, and insurance.
  • Oversee projects: scope, budget, and timelines.
  • Identify and report on key project success factors.
  • Use risk management to address problems and propose solutions to Senior Asset Manager.
  • Conduct routine property inspections for maintenance and repairs.
  • Handle tenant relationships, responding to inquiries, and resolving issues efficiently.
  • Organize and oversee necessary property renovations, upgrades and repairs.
  • Regularly update Sr Asset Manager on property performance and tenant satisfaction.
  • Periodic travel across the Mid-Atlantic area.

Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of project management experience, preferably within commercial real estate or property management
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field preferred or equivalent experience
  • Self-motivated and self-directed with the ability to set and accomplish personal and corporate goals
  • Excellent analytical, decision-making, project management, planning and organizational skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to cultivate and maintain positive relationships
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of property operations, including maintenance is a plus
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook. Knowledge in Yardi is a plus.
  • Valid Driver’s License required
