Job Description

The Associate Director of Advertiser Solutions will be responsible for media revenue sales execution and overall growth in Platform Spend. Expectations on this manager are that s/he will effectively drive the execution of the PubMatic strategy to differentiate and elevate our partnership with demand sources, and establish PubMatic as the share leader among these partnerships.

Successful candidates for this position will demonstrate a drive for revenue growth, and seasoned experience in team and account development. They will bring a discipline of sales operational excellence and have a demonstrated track record of managing a performance revenue team. S/He will show a savvy understanding of, and anticipation of key market trends. They will also balance the inputs from market data analysis, and feedback from their well-connected in-market network to shape their perspective. As a senior member of the PubMatic go-to-market management team, the Director of Ad Solutions will be responsible for providing consistent feedback and input on product direction and development.

The best candidates will have strong programmatic and non-programmatic Media Agency/Client relationships, as well as a good understanding of the perspectives of Publishers in the marketplace. They will have a record of progressive responsibility and accomplishments in digital media and/or technology sales, and will have strong knowledge of all facets of inventory yield strategies, and operational requirements for real-time media monetization.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Prioritizing and building the agency and other demand partner relationships required by territory assignment and book of business
  • Leading the execution of the media revenue strategy across display, mobile, video and native to ensure that inventory is monetized at optimal value through open RTB, PMP, PMPg, and other programmatic sales channels
  • Working efficiently to achieve and exceed revenue and business goals by creating a performance revenue team that aligns behavior with the company values and drives accelerated business growth
  • Articulating the PubMatic go-to-market narrative in an expert fashion and cascading knowledge down into next layer of the organization
  • Establishing PubMatic as a thought leader in the online advertising industry through press interviews, panel participation and speaking engagements
  • Working closely with Product Management to define business justification for existing and new product initiatives/recommendations
  • Being process oriented to monitor, track and analyze team and individual performance for assigned book of business, including demand partner strategies and their buying method goals
  • Leading and developing a growing team of industry sales professionals

Qualifications

Qualifications/Experiences:

  • Undergraduate degree from an accredited and recognized institution is required with an advanced degree (MBA, equivalent) preferred
  • Minimum of 5+ years experience in media and/or media technology, combining sales and general management
  • Successful results as a team leader and examples of strong management experience
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to present effectively across multiple levels in an organization including C-level audience, product and technical teams as well as Sales and Media buying teams
  • Strong time management skills
  • Travelling to meet customers/clients and to attend industry trade shows and events is a requirement of the role
