• Evangelize and drive engineering best practices
• Work cross functionally to define, drive and deliver key projects of the next-gen UI
• Optimize resource utilization
• Build career plan for direct and in-direct team members and manage talent
• Influence and setup expectations with stakeholders
• Be the go-to person for the team and organization
• Be innovative and go-getter in solving complex problems
• Build and deliver industry leading user interface
• Setup innovation platform to nurture creativity
• Contribute to requirements gathering, architecture, design, and implementation of enterprise class user interface software. Includes defining the user model and working with UX team to gauge the usability of new and existing products, making constructive suggestions for improvement
• Lead teams of developers to deliver on innovative software projects using proven development processes (Agile/SCRUM)
• Assist in recruiting great talent for the organization and become a strong mentor and coach to team members
• Proven ability to handle multiple, complex technical projects and have the flexibility to work in a very dynamic environment
• Enable the evolution of the UI to be a platform that can be easily extended
• Ensure quality remains intact while innovation proceeds at high velocity
• Ensure various features are exposed in the UI with the right user experience
• Able to understand technical designs and provide input
• Ensure just enough process is created to meet the needs of scale
• Preserve a culture of calculated risk taking, ownership and innovation

Requirements

• Previous managerial or leadership experience, managing both onsite and remote teams
• Hands on experience in Angular and other JavaScript frameworks
• Strong experience in software development technologies including any of the latest UI technologies (HTML5, AngularJS, JavaScript)
• Problem solving skills and ability to learn and adopt new technologies
• Must have strong analytical, diagnostic and problem-solving skills with ability to work independently and with teams be able to prioritize and handle multiple outstanding tasks
• Experience building responsive user interface for mobile
• Experience building high quality and resilient software, with an Appreciation for good design and an eye for perfection
• Ability to attract top UI talent
• Track record of leading and scaling successful UI teams
• BS degree required, ideally in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent
