Job Description

The Director, Creative Services, PubMatic will lead and manage the continued development of the overall creative execution for the PubMatic brand and identity. This function will determine the best ways to visually represent PubMatic’s identity in digital and other formats (print, trade show, video) and serve as the global output across all corporate offices and to all marketing communications as well as customers/clients.

The successful candidate will be a able to listen and intpret the needs of the organization . They will be able to develop and present high-level concepts and design projects. This includes concept development and execution of print advertising, direct response campaigns, infographics, emails, trade show exhibition support, white papers, banner ads, a collateral system, creative assets for our global company website, and critical client- facing sales materials. It involves direct engagement with global internal clients, pitching designs, and understanding client needs/requirements.

The Director, Creative Services will be responsible for recruiting and managing third party contractors/firms as well as internal design resources. They will work collaboratively with producers and copywriters to set the creative vision and concept for each project and then manage the personnel who execute the vision. He or she will ensure branding standards and high quality of work are consistent and maintained across all projects, and that timely delivery based on schedules and deadlines are met. The Director, Creative Serivces will review and approve the design concepts, design work, and copy writing of all deliverables within the Marketing team.

  • Ensures the timely development and execution of plan, campaigns, and projects to ensure marketing goals are achieved
  • Oversees creative consultations with all marketing functions to ensure appropriate creative strategies, adequacy/accuracy of input, schedules, budgets, production support, necessary reviews, and client presentations
  • Trains and supervises graphic designers and production personnel; oversees their execution of all creative efforts to ensure they are on strategy, on budget, and on schedule
  • Work collaboratively across the Marketing department to manage and incorporate program strategy, storytelling, product launch and positioning, and related criteria into the thoughtful design and creative development of materials. These include sales collaterals (presentations, one-sheets, demos, sizzle reels), branding campaigns and advertising (digital and print), signage, custom microsite, emails, newsletters, mailers, brochures, press kits, invitations, etc
  • Keeps the team leaders aware of the use of outside services and materials to ensure timely billing and adherence to budget allocations.
  • Reviews and recommends the use of external vendors and freelancers, to include evaluating portfolio of work for potential designers and copywriters, and recommending their use/hire on various projects. Monitors and ensures vendor work quality meets company standards.
  • Executes duties and assignments as directed in compliance with corporate guidelines and objectives
  • Run weekly production meetings to ensure deadlines are met while influencing stakeholders to support successful outcomes
  • Accountable for improving creative workflow, streamlining process for faster turnaround, at less cost, without error, at the highest quality output
  • Evaluate all operational aspects of department, including creative hardware/software, their cost-benefit, making sound recommendations to improve process
  • Drive creative aspect and project management of corporate website maintenance, ensuring an improved experience for customer/clients!

Qualifications

  • BA/BS from an accredited and recognized institution or equivalent experience

  • 5+ years of graphics and production experience

  • 3+ years managing both creative workflow process and staff of Production Artists

  • Background in Digital/ Web Media. Experience in Catalog/Print Media a plus

  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite

  • Experience with HTML, CSS & basic javascript

  • Strong design sensibility, typographic skills, illustration and digital experience

  • required. Photographic art direction skills a plus

  • Pardot and Salesforce.com expertise a plus

  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and organize work to meet deadlines and multiple

  • requests, work effectively under pressure and within tight timelines

  • Must be comfortable communicating at all levels from C-Suite to junior team

  • members, with cross-functional teams and both internal and external customers

  • Must be able to travel periodically

  • Successful candidates will possess high personal work ethic, strong interpersonal skills, with an emphasis on teamwork, bias towards action and integrity. High energy and drive to work in a fast-paced environment with the ability to react to changing priorities and deliver on schedule is critical.
