Senior Director of International Marketing - Could be VP for a very senior candidate

The Senior Director of International Marketing is responsible for PubMatic’s marketing strategy for all markets outside of North America, developing a supporting marketing plan and overseeing the execution of such plan in all markets.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Corporate marketing functions of Marketing Communications, Research, PR & Corp Comms, Product Marketing and Global Events to leverage centrally developed activity, working with regional marketing leads to localise as appropriate and supplement with market specific initiatives to deliver against the core marketing objectives of:

  • Maximise value and reputation of the PubMatic brand
  • Drive success through the entire customer lifecycle
  • Empower PubMatic employees to market the company

In this role he/she will also be a part of the Marketing Senior Leadership team and will contribute significantly to all central/global activity.

To be successful in this role the candidate must possess strong communication skills in order to synthesise and support PubMatic’s brand positioning to a wide range of audiences including existing customers & clients, prospects, partners, sales people, consultants, industry analysts and trade press.

Key Responsibilities:

Drive and support PubMatic’s global and international marketing internal and external marketing activities including but not limited to:

  • Maximise the awareness of PubMatic’s brand through press and influencer engagement, thought leadership content development and distribution through existing relationships, social media and website content creation.
  • Working closely with Regional VPs and Country Managers to develop sales enablement plans aligned to customer segmentation that support go-to-market plans including but not limited to: internal education, market intelligence, sales materials and training sessions.
  • Develop demand and lead generation activity that increase a wider interest of PubMatic’s offering and extend our prospect pool. Agreeing and managing localised advertising, memberships & hosted events, lead generation campaigns and industry sponsorships & paid speakerships.
  • Working with sales and marketing to facilitate the customer journey, developing initiatives tp support them through acquisition through to advocacy including on-boarding, customer VIP programs, on going dialogue and feedback and targeted cross sell and upsell communications.
  • Working with HR partners to drive the employee advocacy program across International markets.
  • Develop annual marketing and communications plans that deliver against core corporate strategic goals.
  • Demonstrate clear ROI for all marketing investment.
  • Manage and develop a small team of regionally based marketing managers.

Qualifications


  • Very senior level experience, preferably within the online advertising technology industry (network, exchange, media agency, large digital publisher) or with an Enterprise Software company.
  • Established media/trade press and influencer relationships across the EMEA and APAC regions.
  • Working with sales leaders to develop marketing activity to support revenue goals.
  • Creative thinking around customer engagement initiatives.
  • Proven track record of supporting a customer through the lifecycle from acquisition to advocacy.
  • Managing event teams in the planning and delivery of hosted and sponsored events.
  • Exceptional project management, organisational, writing, & presentation skills; Ability to multi-task, prioritise and organise work to meet deadlines and multiple requests across multiple markets.
  • Experience of working in a matrix environment, leading and collaborating with cross-functional teams, leveraging & motivating internal resources under both your direct and indirect supervision.
  • Experience of localising corporate driven content and initiatives from branding through to events.
