Job Description

We are seeking an experienced HR Manager to join our client dynamic team and lead the Talent Management and Recruitment efforts. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HR, with specific expertise in talent acquisition.

Core Responsibilities 

  • Leads the development of department goals, objectives, and systems.
  • Preparation of salaries and allowances for payments. 
  • Develop and implement strategic talent acquisition plans to meet the staffing needs of the organization, with a focus on attracting top talent in the petrochemical industry.
  • Lead end-to-end recruitment processes, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and selecting candidates for a variety of positions, from entry-level to executive roles.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers and department heads to understand staffing requirements and develop job descriptions and specifications accordingly.
  • Utilize innovative recruitment techniques, including social media, networking, and industry events, to build a robust pipeline of qualified candidates.
  • Manage relationships with external recruitment agencies and other talent acquisition partners to augment internal hiring efforts as needed.
  • Oversee the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a smooth transition into the organization and alignment with company culture and values.
  • Develop and implement talent management strategies to identify high-potential employees, foster career development, and drive employee engagement and retention.

Qualifications

Experience 

Skills / Knowledge / Competencies 

  • 10-15 years of progressive experience in HR, with a focus on talent management and recruitment, preferably within the petrochemical or related industry. 
  • Must be a Nigerian with membership of Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria (CIPMN) 
  • Strong negotiation, engagement, communication & report writing skills. 
  • Ability to work at both strategic operational levels. 
  • Sensitive people skills: a high level of emotional intelligence; excellent interpersonal skills; a wide understanding of people issues. 
  • Competent computer skills.
