Job Description:

The Urea Operator plays a crucial role in the manufacturing and production of urea, a nitrogen-rich chemical compound widely used in fertilizers, industrial applications, and various chemical processes. The Urea Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining the equipment and processes involved in the synthesis of urea, ensuring the safe and efficient production of high-quality urea products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and control the various equipment and machinery used in the urea production process. 
  • Continuously monitor the production process parameters such as temperature, pressure, flow rates, and chemical concentrations to ensure that the process is running smoothly and efficiently.
  • Perform routine quality control checks on the urea products being produced. 
  • Identify and troubleshoot any process or equipment issues that may arise during production. 
  • Take corrective actions to resolve problems and prevent production disruptions.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment. 
  • Respond appropriately to emergency situations and follow established safety procedures.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on equipment to ensure its proper functioning. 
  • Keep accurate records of production activities, process parameters, quality test results, and any maintenance or repair tasks performed. 

Qualifications

  • National Diploma in chemical processes or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Urea Field Operator or in a similar chemical production role is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of chemical processes, equipment operation, and safety protocols.
  • Ability to interpret and analyze process data, troubleshoot issues, and make informed decisions.
  • Physical stamina and ability to work in a demanding production environment that may involve standing, lifting, and working with chemicals.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
