We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our client team as an Insurance Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the local insurance policies of their companies and ensuring the smooth operation of insurance-related processes.

You will work closely with insurance brokers, coordinate policy placement and renewals, file claims, and maintain effective communication between Indorama and the insurance broker. Additionally, proficiency in Excel data analysis will be crucial for this position.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage local insurance policies
  • Ensure compliance with insurance regulations and guidelines.
  • Review policies to identify potential coverage gaps and recommend necessary adjustments.
  • Collaborate with the insurance broker to place new policies and negotiate terms and conditions.
  • Facilitate timely renewals of insurance policies to maintain coverage without interruption.
  • Regularly communicate with the insurance broker to stay updated on changes in insurance markets and regulations.
  • Act as the primary point of contact between Indorama and the insurance broker for filing insurance claims.
  • Collect and compile all necessary documentation and information for claims submission.
  • Liaise with the insurance broker to ensure efficient processing of claims and timely resolution.
  • Work closely with insurance brokers to meet lenders' checklist requirements.
  • Arrange and provide necessary documentation to ensure compliance with lender guidelines.
  • Monitor and ensure adherence to insurance-related compliance regulations.
  • Utilize advanced Excel skills to analyze insurance data, track policy information, and generate reports.
  • Extract and interpret relevant data to identify trends, patterns, and insights for decision-making.
  • Present data analysis findings to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (such as business administration, finance, or risk management, Insurance).
  • Proven experience in insurance management, preferably within the Nigerian market.
  • Strong knowledge of insurance policies, regulations, and procedures.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with insurance brokers, internal teams, and external stakeholders.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and data analysis.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions and formulas.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle complex insurance-related issues.
  • Professional certifications in insurance, risk management, or related fields (e.g., ACII, ARM) will be an added advantage.
