Job Description

Job Summary

The role of the Sales Engineer provides technical and functional expertise to the sales and marketing efforts to acquire and retain customers. Working with team members for project development while providing solution oversight for customer onboarding. 

Responsibilities

Demonstrate Prometheus solutions via online meetings, onsite visits, webinars, and trade shows

Help prospects understand the technical aspects of Prometheus products

Provide expertise on business process and workflow, and indicate how Prometheus solutions can assist with this effort

Manage the technical aspects of sales documents, including RFPs, RFIs, scopes of work, etc.

Manage customer trials, which includes process consulting, software implementation, and training

Manage software implementation projects

Collaborate with development teams for project scoping and solution design

Coordinate sales and development efforts for continuous solution improvement·       

Conduct end user training for both customers and software trials users

Create functional and technical documentation for new products before the handoff to support

Qualifications

Skills and Experience

University degree related to engineering (computer, chemical, mechanical, etc.) preferred 

Knowledge of ERP systems – SAP, Maximo, Oracle

1+ years of actual plant experience in engineering, planning, scheduling, safety, EHS, operations, production, maintenance, etc.

Intermediate knowledge of SAP configuration, especially in the above modules.

Functional understanding of maintenance work and plant safety and why it is necessary

Functional understanding of plant maintenance workflow, including both routine and shut down/turnaround maintenance.

Strong project management skills

Excellent presentation and communication skills

Motivated to own the technical pieces of a deal

Meticulous and driven in preparation
