Juniper is undergoing a major transformation in its product portfolio strategy that involves deploying new business models & system infrastructure as we continue to grow our cloud- and software-based product revenue. As part of this transformation; Juniper Networks has deployed and continues to evolve the Juniper Agile Licensing Platform to deliver new capabilities in support of new business models as well as to improve our customers’ and partners’ licensing experience.
Juniper is seeking a high-energy, self-driven program manager who can work across highly matrixed cross-functional teams. This role will focus on the setup, maintenance and support of the Juniper Agile Licensing platform. The role is critical to ensuring that Juniper’s intellectual property is protected, revenue is recognized, the licensing system is accurately setup and maintained and the licensing platform is continually improved.
This role will require engagement with cross-functional teams on a global, enterprise wide level. Experience in business operations or supply chain management in a large-scale environment is required. Specific knowledge or experience in the software licensing discipline and industry leading entitlement management systems is a plus.
This individual will report to the Senior Manager, Licensing Operations.
Responsibilities:
In this role, this person will work in close collaboration with our licensing vendor, IT, customer service, software engineering and product line managers to deliver high quality licensing support and platform maintenance. This individual will therefore have a significant opportunity to ensure that Juniper’s IP is protected, revenue is recognized, the licensing system is accurate and effectively maintained and the platform is continually evolved to meet customers’ and partners’ expectations of a simple, easy, seamless licensing experience.
Some specific areas of focus:
Set-up, test, and deliver licensing and fulfillment solutions as they relate to NPIs, incremental SKU requirements and new capabilities or enhancements
Ensure that any new licensing capabilities, enhancements or bug fixes are fully tested to meet the requirements and that existing functionality isn’t impacted
Employ a self-initiated and data-driven approach to identify and execute improvements in the licensing platform and licensing processes
Monitor customer care incident escalations to the licensing team and respond with a sense of urgency to resolve customer facing issues
Create and update processes and work instructions required to successfully introduce and sustain products, monitor the licensing system performance & accuracy and audit licensing system employee and customer activity
Ability to act as the licensing team representative on cross-group projects and initiatives with SME level knowledge of the licensing platform and processes
Requirements:
3-5 years of experience in a business operations or supply chain role
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent inter-personal skills with a focus on building and maintaining effective working relationships across a broad range of stakeholder teams
Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams to design, develop and implement enhancements and new licensing platform capabilities
Effective at dealing with ambiguity and understanding complex and dynamic concepts
Exhibits bias towards taking action
Experience in the software licensing discipline is a plus
Knowledge of Gemalto’s Entitlement Management System (EMS) is a significant plus
Knowledge of supporting applications (SAP, AWS IB) is a significant plus
Education:
B.A. or B.S. in a business-related field
