Job Description
As a Business Intelligence Developer Senior to Lead in the Commercial Lines group you will assist our Small Business Insurance and Acquisition partners with their data analysis and reporting. You'll be responsible for building and maintaining datamarts using ETLs. In addition you will interact daily with our business customers, serving as knowledge expert to our Data Governance team, IT partners, and Progressive Home to prepare business specific data analysis, build new and maintain existing multidimensional cubes, and reporting to aid with their decision-making.
This is a Cleveland based role. Open to work-from-home several days a week.
Qualifications
Must-have qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in an Information Technology or Business discipline or related field of study (e.g., Computer Science, MIS, Business Management) and a minimum of 2 years designing/developing, programming and supporting software programs/applications.
- In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 4 years related work experience with working knowledge of designing/developing, programming and supporting software programs/applications.
Preferred skills
- Proficiency with the Microsoft BI stack SSIS, T-SQL querying in order design & implement ETL’s & Datamart.
- Proficiency with Tableau or similar reporting tools.
- Experience working with business partners, data analysts, IT to define data requirements and execution to streamline the data ingestion.
- Strong knowledge of data warehousing & modeling, as well as familiarity in maintaining & building Multidimensional Cubes.
- Nice to have working knowledge in Snowflake as well as scripting language skills C# and/or Python to aid with complex ETL structures & along with some application development.
Compensation
- $72,800 - $117,500/year depending on position level and experience
- Gainshare bonus up to 30% of your eligible earnings based on company performance
