Job Description

The Product Validation team brings customers and partners into the product development cycle to help ensure the product is fit for purpose before release. A number of research methodologies are used including surveys, forums, POCs, usability studies and workshops.

The Product Validation Manager, APAC is responsible for leading this activity in the APAC particular region.

Qualifications

Pro-actively adapting research activities to the local markets including:

  • Building and maintaining relationships with a small subset of customers and partners, in alignment with the Sales organization.
  • Socialize the roadmap and catalog of research that is coming up over the next few release cycles and recruit interested parties.
  • Organize POC-type projects as well as workshops with various types of people (user, developer, admin, manager etc) at both customers and partners, handling the legal, organizational and technical aspects of this.
  • Take part in Product team discussions to understand the design intent of upcoming functionality and be able to communicate this effectively to a range of stakeholders.
  • Present feedback and otherwise involve Product stakeholders


Key challenges in this role:

  • Need to be a Self-Starter - must be able to create excitement and find a way to make things happen
  • Good stakeholder management skills are you are part of a global team with lots of soft interactions/inflluence
  • This role can be technically challenging and you would need to pull in relevant help at times.

Additional Information

 

  • Experience working with BI software would be a big plus, but is not a pre-requisite
  • Good presentation skills
  • Good project management/people skills
  • 8 years in a customer-facing role
  • A good general technology background to understand and communicate around ever changing technology subjects
  • Technical pre-sales or Product Management background preferable

  • Mobility – 30-50% of travel time required
  • Bachelor equivalent mandatory
  • Master equivalent preferable
  • MBA advantageous
  • Business level English mandatory
  • Business level Japanese and/or Mandarin advantageous
