Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the liaison between the center and the university OTCs.

  • Coordinate joint projects for patent identification, protection, and promotion.

  • Align OTC activities with national research priorities.

  • Build and maintain a centralized patent database that compiles inventions from all partner universities.

  • Support patent filing, documentation, and renewal processes.

  • Monitor patent readiness levels and categorize by application area.

  • Develop networks and partnerships with local and international OTCs.

  • Share best practices in technology transfer, marketing strategies, and IP management.

  • Facilitate collaborative research-to-market pipelines across universities.

  • Maintain digital repositories of patents and research results.

  • Track utilization and commercialization status of patents.

Qualifications

Knowledge of

  • University research structures and academic collaboration models.
  • Patent law, IP protection, and international conventions.

  • Methods of technology assessment, valuation, and readiness evaluation.

  • Knowledge of OTC networks.
