Job Description
PRG Las Vegas is seeking a Technical Designer to design audio, video, lighting, and/or staging systems for rental, sale, or installation;
Project manage Installations;
Help sales staff create correct gear lists;
Provide technical support for shop, sales, and event/touring staff;
Create Graphic Support for a Rental, Sale, or Installation.
Performs other related duties.
Essential Functions:
• Design Technical Systems for Rental, Sale, or Installation.
• Consultation Service for clients: Rental, Sale, or Installation within project budget.
• Project Manage large events or installations: liaison for all internal departments, consistency of paperwork.
• Create Renderings, Drawings, and other Graphical representation for designs, events, and installations.
• Design, Bid, and Oversee Audio/Video Installations.
• Work with Architects, Engineers, Management, and Event Staff for designs, technical support, drawings, renderings, and more.
• Technical Support for Shop, Sales, Event/Touring Staff.
• Attend product demos and training sessions to gain early product knowledge.
• Keep up to date with Industry trends, technological changes, and various industry standards.
Qualifications
Experience: 7-10+ years experience in the technical entertainment technology industry of which at least 2 years design using current CAD software, such as AutoCad 3D or Vectorworks. Adobe products such as Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign etc.
Education:
Relevant Bachelor's Degree Preferred.
Other relevant background should consist of several of the following:
• Live Event Experience; System Tech., Mix Engineer, Project Manager, etc.
• Experience in Managing Large Crews
• Intimate Knowledge of Audio and/or Video System Designs
• Knowledgeable in Lighting, Rigging, and Staging Systems
• Project Management Experience
• Computer Networking
• Programming of Industry Standard Devices, Computers, Routers, Switches
• Soundvision, MAAP, EASE desired experience.
