Director, Business Systems - Financial Technology

Job Description

We are looking for an innovative, strategic, collaborative and passionate Director, Business Systems - Financial Technology to lead Procore's Finance Technology/Systems and Legal Technology/Systems team. 

 

As Director, Business Systems - Financial Technology, you will serve as the strategic interface between the Business Systems Team and our Finance and Legal departments. In partnership with Business Systems, Finance and Legal  leadership, you will lead ongoing efforts to design and operationalize a Finance Technology and Legal Technology strategy and roadmap that enables our global Finance and Legal corporate objectives. You will oversee a team responsible for building and maintaining our Finance and Legal  systems architecture, ensuring scalability and compliance. You should have a strong, product-centric mindset and be obsessed with building systems and tools that deliver a world-class employee and manager experience. 

 

This position will report to our Vice President, Technology - Business Systems and is located in our Austin, Texas office. We’re looking for someone to join our team immediately!

 

What you’ll do:

  • Build and retain a high-performing team through leading and developing members of the Finance and Legal Technology team, who are responsible for implementing and maintaining Finance and Legal technology tools and align with the mission, vision and strategy of Business Technology at Procore. 

  • Lead prioritization of Business Systems Technology initiatives based on organization(s) needs/strategy, including  workload and budget, including being accountable and responsible for  Procore’s end-to-end Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, Plan to Report and Legal business process architecture, solution design and development.

  • Perform the role of technical program leadership and and experience implementing Netsuite, Zuora, Coupa, Concur, Avalara, Blackline, Xactly, Pigment, SimpleLegal, Ironclad, Docusign and other  SaaS systems.

  • In close partnership with key stakeholders such as; Business Technology, Data Intelligence, Security, Finance and Legal develop and implement a three-year Finance Technology and Legal Technology roadmap. One that is aligned with our business strategy in order to scale the organization through insights and self-service

  • Identify opportunities for automation and reduction of manual processes and partner with teams across People, Finance, Legal, Business Technology, Data Intelligence, on implementation of solutions, including performing regular business process reviews and QBRs to make ongoing suggestions and create action plans. 

  • Empower teams and managers to make informed data-driven decisions and deliver meaningful insights and establish action plans to improve transactions and capabilities

  • Establish an overall vendor strategy and lead vendor assessments in partnership with stakeholders and own strategic vendor relationships

  • Collaborate with the Security and Legal functions to ensure data security and adherence to all data privacy regulations and we are compliant with SOX/audit requirements and significantly raise the bar in terms of data, business process, and access security.

 

What we’re looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information technology, Business or a related field or equivalent experience with 12+ years experience in internal/external IT business systems/technology experience and 10+ years of Finance and Legal technology experience and leading the Finance and Legal Technology teams

  • Excellent understanding of standard business practices and processes across “Order to Cash”, “Procure to Pay”, “Plan to Report”  and Legal processes

  • Strong leadership experience in a fast-paced, rapidly expanding, and global work environment  

  • Proven understanding of Finance, Payroll, Legal and Business Technology processes and how they impact Finance and Legal systems

  • Proven track record of building strong relationships; excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills, including written, verbal and presentation skills; responsible for managing business relationships

  • Demonstrated critical thinking skills with the the ability to develop a long-range vision, multi-year systems roadmap, and innovative solutions

  • A demonstrated track record of building successful, high-performing teams in conjunction with effective stakeholder management and influence

  • Significant project/product/program management experience, leading large, complex, system implementations 

Additional Information

Base Pay Range $169,600 - $233,200. Eligible for Bonus Incentive Compensation. Procore is committed to offering competitive, fair, and commensurate compensation, and has provided an estimated pay range for this role. Actual compensation will be based on a candidate’s job-related skills, experience, education or training, and location.
