Procept Africa is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the T24-Temenos Core Banking Implementation project for our client. This is a critical project that will play a pivotal role in enhancing our client’s banking operations and ensuring compliance with the latest industry standards. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of implementing and managing T24-Temenos Core Banking software. And the successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of project planning, execution, and delivery, ensuring it is completed on time, within scope, and within budget.

Job Description

  1. Develop and maintain a comprehensive project plan, including scope, schedule, budget, resource allocation, risk assessment, and stakeholder communication.
  2. Build and manage a multi-functional project team, including business analysts, developers, testers, and other relevant stakeholders. Provide clear direction, motivation, and support to team members.
  3. Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders. Ensure scope changes are documented, reviewed, and approved.
  4. Identify, assess, and proactively mitigate project risks. Develop and maintain a risk management plan to minimize project disruptions.
  5. Allocate project resources efficiently and effectively. Monitor resource utilization and adjust as needed to meet project goals.
  6. Establish and enforce quality standards and best practices throughout the project lifecycle.
  7. Conduct regular quality reviews and audits.
  8. Facilitate clear and consistent communication among project stakeholders, including project status updates, issue resolution, and decision-making processes.
  9. Monitor project expenses and ensure adherence to the approved budget. Prepare and present financial reports to senior management.
  10. Collaborate with third-party vendors and consultants as necessary. Manage vendor relationships and performance to ensure project success.
  11. Develop and implement a change management plan to prepare stakeholders for the T24 Core Banking Upgrade and minimize disruption to business operations.
  12. Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, status reports, meeting minutes, and post-implementation reviews.

Qualifications

  • Experience with implementing and managing T24-Temenos is Compulsory. Applicants who do not have this will not be considered at all.
  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years working experience as a Project Manager leading complex software implementation projects.
  • Strong knowledge of T24 Core Banking software and previous experience with banking system upgrades.
  • The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of the different versions of the T24 Core Banking software.
  • Competency in project management tools.
  • In-depth understanding of the Kenyan banking sector, its regulations, and operational processes.
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to create and manage project plans, allocate resources effectively, and deliver results within established timelines and budgets.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills to facilitate collaboration among multi-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to identify risks, analyze data, and make informed decisions.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is mandatory.
