Procept is recruiting to fill the position of Systems Support Engineer, who has Linux, OBM/cloudwatch, Oracle, SQL/MySQL, AWS, Terraform, Virtualization and Haproxy skills. The idea candidate must have knowledge of ITIL/Agile, Fintech Awareness, and at least 2-5 years Application support experience.

The Systems Support Engineer will provide essential support to our partners’ business operations, ensuring the smooth functioning of IT services and systems.

Job Description

    1. Provide technical support for critical systems and applications, including troubleshooting and resolving issues in a timely manner.
    2. Utilize expertise in Linux, OBM/Cloudwatch, Oracle, SQL/MySQL, AWS, Terraform, Virtualization, and Haproxy to address system-related problems.
    3. Monitor system performance using OBM/Cloudwatch and other monitoring tools, identifying potential issues and implementing proactive solutions.
    4. Optimize system configurations and resources to ensure efficient operation and maximum uptime.
    5. Support Oracle and SQL/MySQL databases, including installation, configuration, and maintenance tasks.
    6. Execute database queries and perform data analysis as required.
    7. Manage AWS cloud infrastructure components using Terraform and other automation tools, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
    8. Implement best practices for cloud resource provisioning, configuration, and optimization.
    9. Configure and maintain virtualization platforms to support application deployment and scalability.
    10. Manage network services and protocols, including Haproxy load balancers, to ensure seamless communication between systems.
    11. Log, track, and prioritize support tickets and incidents, following established ITIL processes.
    12. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve escalated issues and minimize service disruptions.
    13. Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
    14. Generate reports on system performance, incident trends, and support metrics as required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in application support, with expertise in Linux, OBM/Cloudwatch, Oracle, SQL/MySQL, AWS, Terraform, Virtualization, and Haproxy.
  • Strong understanding of ITIL/Agile methodologies and their application in support processes.
  • Knowledge in Fintech and understanding of financial technologies and applications.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
