Procept Associates Professional Services Limited (Procept Africa) is a franchisee of Procept Associates Ltd, Canada.  We specialize in consulting, training and software solutions, through a network of associates and partners, using best practice frameworks in Canada, Nigeria, South Africa, Zambia, Ghana, Rwanda, Kenya and now Uganda.

Procept is currently recruiting to fill the position of a Technology Consultant with expertise in several of the following IT Standards including: Open Banking Standards, eXtensible Business Reporting Language (XBRL), Capability Maturity Model Integration for Development (CMMI Dev) and/or Data Center TIA 942-B. The ideal candidate will lead the implementation of several of these IT standards for Procept clients and in accordance with client objectives and scope.

1. Understand client business objectives and requirements regarding the specific IT standards to be implemented including Open Banking Standards, eXtensible Business Reporting Language (XBRL), Capability Maturity Model Integration for Development (CMMI Dev) and/or Data Center TIA 942-B
2. Establish project organization and governance to govern and manage specific IT standards initiatives.
3. Assess clients’ practices regarding the specific IT standards and prepare an Assessment and Gap Analysis report.
   • Assess and audit existing systems and processes to identify gaps and opportunities for improvements in the IT standards to be implemented.
4. Develop project plans, timelines, and deliverables for the IT standards to be implemented, ensuring alignment with client expectations and organizational goals.
5. Implement the specific IT standards in accordance with best practices.
   • During project implementation, lead and mentor technical teams in the implementation and deployment of IT standards.
   • Develop and deliver technical training sessions and workshops for clients and internal teams on Open Banking concepts, tools, and technologies.
   • Provide support and troubleshooting expertise as may be required while implementing the specific IT standards.
6. Monitor and control implementations by reviewing and adjusting as appropriate.
7. Close IT standards project in accordance with client requirements and best practices
8. Stay updated on emerging technologies, industry trends, and regulatory changes related to the specific IT standards and provide thought leadership and strategic recommendations to clients and internal stakeholders.
9. Collaborate with regulatory bodies, industry consortiums, and third-party vendors to stay informed about best practices in the respective IT standards.

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Master's degree in any of the IT standards is an added advantage.
• About 5 years experience working as a Technology Consultant in any of the IT standards and for any tier 1 bank or any leading consulting firm.
• Certifications in relevant technologies (e.g., Certified Open Banking Associate, AWS Certified Solutions Architect) are a plus.
• Acquired two years experience in two or more of the following IT standards:
  1. Open Banking Standards
  2. eXtensible Business Reporting Language (XBRL)
  3. Capability Maturity Model Integration for Development (CMMI Dev)
  4. Data Center TIA 942-B
• In-depth knowledge of:

1. API design and security protocols, with knowledge of banking systems and financial regulations, enabling effective implementation of interoperable banking solutions.
2. XML and financial reporting, skilled at creating and interpreting XBRL taxonomies, ensuring accurate and standardized financial data exchange.
3. Software development processes and process improvement methodologies, capable of assessing and enhancing organizational process maturity using the CMMI framework.
4. Data center design and telecommunications infrastructure standards, ensuring the reliability, availability, and security of data centers through structured cabling systems and adherence to TIA 942-B guidelines.

1. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, adept at conveying technical concepts related to API design, XML, software development processes, and data center infrastructure to diverse audiences.
2. Excellent problem-solving skills, capable of analyzing complexities in banking systems, financial regulations, XBRL taxonomies, CMMI frameworks, and data center designs to devise effective solutions.
3. Proven ability to work collaboratively in multi-functional teams, managing projects involving open banking standards, XBRL implementation, CMMI process enhancement, and data center infrastructure development.
