Procentrix is a Small Business technology and systems development firm based in Herndon, Virginia that specializes in conceptualizing, designing, and implementing solutions that help our clients maximize their investments in information technology.

The Infrastructure Project Manager will have responsibility for the planning, oversight, and leadership of a team of about 10 resources that support the operations and maintanence of the server and application tiers of a mission critical portfolio of business systems. The PM will provide day to day management of engineers and administrators responsible for ensuring the health of the systems, including system monitoring, issue resolution, patching, upgrades, etc. The PM will oversee Tier 2 helpdesk activities, manage work queues, and ensure that tasks are being completed following an Agile Kanban methodology. Specific tasks and responsibilities include:

• Management and coordination of server administration, engineering, and helpdesk activities
• Daily interaction with customer IT PMs, including senior management
• Plan upcoming work and manage resource assignments
• Track and manage work following Agile Kanban processes
• Develop and present weekly and monthly status reports
• Facilitate weekly and monthly status meetings
• Develop and present monthly cost control reports
• Develop and maintain project schedules
• Actively identify and maintain issues and risks
• Develop and facilitate lessons learned
• Track and manage to Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
• Develop and support ongoing updates to project management documentation
• Development and execution of communication management strategy and corresponding plan

Required Skills

• At least 10 years of IT experience, with at least 6 years of experience operating in a management role
• Experience managing IT infrastructure teams of at least 10 resources
• In-depth understanding and experience of project management practices and techniques in an IT infrastructure environment
• Demonstrated experience managing software development teams following an Agile Kanban methodology
• Proven ability to plan work and manage resources to achieve stated project goals and objectives
• Working understanding and experience in the following management areas -- Scope, Schedule, Quality, Communications, Budget, Issues, and Risk management
• Experience managing projects involving Microsoft technologies, including Windows OS, SQL Server Database, and .NET based applications
• Proven ability to work and negotiate with customers
• Demonstrated ability to resolve conflict within the project team

Desirable Skills

• Experience managing Federal government projects
• Certified Scrum Master
• PMP Certification
• Experience using Earned Value to manage project performance
• Experience using ITIL Framework
• Experience using Six Sigma DMAIC model for continuous improvements
• Experience working with Rational Jazz
