Job Description

ProSource360 is seeking an experienced Program Manager to support the Department of the Navy’s (DoN) Historically Black Colleges Universities and Minority Institution (HBCU/MI) at the Office of Naval Research. Specifically, the DoN HBCU/MI Program’s goal is to provide university research opportunities, internships, naval science student programs, scholarships and fellowships. These engagements will be performed at schools, colleges, universities, naval labs, warfare centers and various federal agencies. Travel as required (10%) for customer support

 

Responsibilities

 

• Manage the overall scope of all projects and budget requirements

• Manage and direct program interns

• Responsible for cross-disciplinary research programs and for education and career development programs that increase the quantity and quality of scientists and engineers engaged in activities that improve Navy and Marine Corps capabilities

• Manage administration of the Sabbatical Leave and Summer Faculty Research Programs.

• Monitor application submissions, timely responses, application review panel, applicant correspondence, and naval lab correspondence.

• Plan and manage stipend distribution

• Plan and manage Program website development

• Manage administration of the Naval Science Awards Program

• Monitor science fair organizer correspondence, award recipient applications, and award distribution

• Ensure all contract documents (NDA’s) are executed, security protocols are followed for personnel for each project

• Facilitate weekly meetings

• Produce and submit project deliverables

• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

 Required

 

• Minimum of 5 years of program management experience in related education and outreach areas.

• Bachelor of Science Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline • Possess excellent presentation skills, with the ability to speak to large audiences of scientists, engineers, Congressional personnel, and high-level government civilian officials.

• Expertise using the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point)

• Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills

• Strong leadership skills, analytical, and problem-solving skills

• US Citizenship

• The ability to obtain a NACI (National Agency Check with Inquiries) to support a CAC

Preferred

• Prior US Navy or military experience

• Familiar with initiatives surrounding Historically Black Colleges & Universities (HBCU's) and Hispanic Serving Institutions (HSI's)

• Experience with diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives (DEI)

• Project Management Professional (PMP Certification)

• Master’s Degree
