Job Description

Summary:

ProSource360 Consulting Services, Inc. is seeking Electronic Health Record Modernization (EHRM) Classroom Trainers to support the EHRM Program. In May 2018, the United States Department of Veterans Affairs awarded Cerner Corporation a contract to replace its current electronic health record systems (EHR) with a commercial-off-the-shelf solution currently being deployed by the Department of Defense (DoD). A single interoperable solution across VA and DoD will facilitate the secure transfer of active-duty service members’ health data as they transition to Veteran status. This modernization effort will create a lifetime of seamless care for service members and Veterans. 

The primary goal of the Classroom Trainer is to effectively train VA staff on EHRM applications and workflows so that they can successfully perform job functions within the new system to ensure continued care for Veterans. End User Trainers are required to become certified in EHRM-specific knowledge and workflows specific to the VA. 
 

The successful candidate must be available to travel 50-100% of the time and available to stay onsite 3-4 weeks at a time (preference will be given to those who can travel 80% of the time). Candidates will be required to successfully complete Cerner's Training Program* on site.  

*The dates of the Training are TBD. We are vetting candidates for the resource pool. Once pre-qualifications have been met, the candidate will be added to the resource pool, and will be notified when the training program schedule has been confirmed.
 

Responsibilities:

  • Provide classroom training, At-The-Elbow (ATE) support, and post go-live optimization support to the VA Cerner Millennium end-users in the designated regions
  • Equip end users with EHRM application and workflow knowledge
  • Train, coach, and assess end-users on their use of the model workflows
  • Provide consultation, leadership, training, and guidance to the VA end user staff
  •  Develop training materials to ensure the overall success of the assigned end-users
  •  Develop and maintain strong relationships with end-users
  • Issue and retrieve completed in-class training surveys from all end-users for Quality Assurance
  • Document all end-user issues on issues log for reporting to on-site management team
     

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 12 months of Cerner experience ​ 
  • Minimum of 12 months of Information Technology experience working in both outpatient and inpatient environments  
  • Minimum of six months of Healthcare Industry Experience- Preferred
  • Minimum of 12 months of classroom training experience
  • Must have completed a minimum of ten Cerner Go-lives
  • Minimum of one year of tutoring, training, or coaching experience
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
  • Strong communication skills, self-motivation, responsibility, teamwork, problem solving, flexibility, even-temperament
  • Ability to obtain a Tier-3 Public Trust Security Clearance
