Job Description

As a Lead Communications Partner for Internal Communications and Engagement in our healthcare IT client's government services office, you will lead an expanding team to develop and implement a comprehensive internal communications and engagement plan and strategies across appropriate platforms and manage communications output against editorial calendar and reactive opportunities. You will promote our client's cultural objectives, keep more than 5,000 associates updated on business objectives and federal program updates, and engage our workforce through events, content, and activities as appropriate.  In this role you will manage creation and curation of communications including internal news articles, Intranet Site, videos, and other internal communications collateral. In scope will be to develop and deploy a strategy to leverage content for adaptation and use in various mediums while assuring the communication of a consistent and uniform message. You will collaborate with leaders and peers to gain an understanding of solutions, business strategy and health care industry to create content for assigned projects. This role will allow you to set strategy to leverage new communications trends and platforms or emerging risks.
 

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Journalism, Marketing, Business Administration or Communications or related field or equivalent work experience
  • At least 5 years of business communications work experience
  • At least 1 year of people management work experience
  • Strong writing and communications skills
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
  • Receipt of the appropriate government security clearance card applicable for your position
  • Due to the client contract you will be assigned, this position requires you to be a U.S. citizen

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in website design
  • Strong copy-editing skills (AP Style)
  • Proficient in Salesforce or other Customer Relationship Management tools
  • Experience in Wrike
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Experience in government communications

Expectations

  • Willing to travel up to 25% as needed
  • Must currently reside in or be willing to relocate to the District of Columbia area
