Job Description

ProSource360 Consulting Services, Inc. is seeking several EHRM End User Trainers to support the Electronic Health Record Modernization Program for the Initial Operating Capability (IOC) in the Pacific Northwest. In May 2018, the United States Department of Veteran’s Affairs awarded Cerner Corporation a contract to replace its current electronic health record systems (EHR) with a commercial-off-the-shelf solution currently being deployed by the Department of Defense (DoD). A single interoperable solution across VA and DoD will facilitate the secure transfer of active-duty service members’ health data as they transition to Veteran status. This modernization effort will create a lifetime of seamless care for service members and Veterans. The primary goal of End User Trainer is to effectively train VA staff on EHRM applications and workflows so that they can successfully perform job functions within the new system to ensure continued care for Veterans. End User Trainers are required to become certified in EHRM-specific knowledge and workflows specific to the VA.  This position requires the successful candidate to attend on-site training and subsequently pass the certification exam at Cerner Headquarters in Kansas City, MO.  The certified trainer will then travel to the Pacific Northwest as a VA EHRM End User Trainer for the duration of the project.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide training and at-the-elbow support to the VA Cerner Millennium end-users before, during and after Go-Live in the designated region
  • Equip end users with EHRM application and workflow knowledge
  • Provide consultation, leadership, training, and guidance to the VA end user staff
  • Develop training materials to ensure the overall success of the assigned end-users
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with end-users

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a healthcare discipline (e.g. BSN) is preferred
  • Minimum of one year of experience implementing electronic health records (EHR)
  • Certification in EHRM-specific knowledge and workflows
  • Minimum of one year of Cerner experience for trainers
  • Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Experience supporting DoD or the Veteran’s Affairs
