Job Description

  • Requires the ability to analyze the operation of various systems, determine the cause of any problems/malfunctions and take corrective action as required.
  • Assist with the installation and repair piping/tubing; wire single and three phase motors (single & two speed); run conduit; pull wiring to machinery, motors, operating parts, etc.
  • Install and rebuild pumps and motors; install and rebuild air compressors; heat exchangers; replace bearings in all types of motors; replace seals on pumps; install and repair piping, valves, filters, hot water systems and associated controls; assist other mechanics and operators with major repairs and maintenance of building and equipment.
  • Checks, repairs and/or replaces valves, motors, controls, switches, gauges, wiring, fans, pumps, compressors, condensers, cores, pipes and other functional components of the system.
  • Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
  • Documents all work in the CMMS system.
  • Complies with all company safety and risk management policies and procedures.
  • Reports all accidents and injuries in a timely manner.
  • Participates in regular safety meetings, safety training and hazard assessments.  
  • Applies all applicable OSHA and related local safety requirements to all assigned work.  
  • Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
  • Attends training programs (classroom and virtual) as designated.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma, GED or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with a CMMS system, a must
  • Previous clean room experience, GMP or ISO knowledge, desired.
  • Experience beyond construction style electrical work is a must, this could include trouble shooting of VFDs, Building automation devices like damper actuators, valve actuators and sensors.
  • Experience as an electromechanical technician, desired.
  • Massachusetts Journeyman or master Electrical License.
  • Valid Driver’s License

  • Working knowledge of computer applications including Word and Excel.
  • Must be able to speak, read and write fluent English.

  • Must have working knowledge of Micro soft office suite including email, excel and word.

PHYSICAL WORKING CONDITIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

  • Close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus, with or without corrective lenses.
  • Significant walking or other means of mobility.
  • Ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours).
  • Ability to reach, bend, stoop, push and/or pull, and frequently lift up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift/move 40 pounds.
