This is an opportunity in a dynamic and international team of process engineers and scientists, XPure, focused to develop and implement innovative continuous chromatography solutions that enables the manufacture of sustainable products, which holistically meet people, planet and profit demands. XPure performs process engineering consultancy, process and product development work in our laboratory and delivers industrial scale continuous chromatography systems (SMB’s) as well as bench scale systems.

As a Lab Technician, you play a vital role in developing separation and purification processes based on feed materials from our clients and the specifications of the expected product. You assist in the development of experimental plans together with our process scientists and execute and report these experiments. You perform preparatory chromatography work, using a batch chromatography system or our bench scale continuous chromatography systems. Preparing the necessary buffers and solutions and handling of samples is part of the job. You also execute analytical work using e.g. HPLC technology, for which you develop analytical methods.
You set-up the systems and configure them for the experimental runs both in hardware as well as in software. You contribute to the construction of these systems both for our own purposes as well as for the delivery of client systems.
You support in maintaining the systems in a good state and help maintain the inventory of consumables and chemicals.
You work in a team with several scientists and engineers from a variety of nationalities
Qualified candidates must have:
- Finished MLO4 with experience in DSP or a finished HLO degree in the life sciences;
- Capability to work safe, methodically and document accurately.
- Structured, and result driven attitude.
- Proficiency in the English language.
- Proficient in using MS Office tools.
- Relevant work experience, experience in pharma/ biotech industry is an advantage.
- Affinity with analytical and process equipment is an advantage.
- Driving license.
