Job Description

Calling out to all experience Slitter Operators, come and join our Centre of Excellence site in Dandenong South. We have opportunities across all shifts - day, afternoon and night,  offering attractive pay rates.

Your role will include:

  • Produce high-quality Flexographic rewind as per the instruction provided via the Job Ticket
  • Follow any work, safety or procedural instructions
  • Supervise and instruct the assigned Slitters Assistant
  • Manage the continued implementation of the HACCP and ISO policies which specifically include a clean, tidy and safe work area
  • Report any equipment faults/breakdowns and assist where possible in the resolution of said faults/breakdowns
  • Ensure Assistant’s conformance with FSC22000 and ISO systems as well as additional systems that will be required
  • Attend and contribute in any regular or adhoc meetings as requested
  • Manage systems and processes to reduce quality issues from raw material through to finished goods
  • Implement additional systems where necessary to ensure that the raw materials and finished goods are at a standard as required
  • Implement customer-specific quality requirements
  • Investigate and report on waste %’s as well as process improvements to reduce waste

Qualifications

  • Slitter machine operator experience preferred
  • Proficient mathematical and measurement skills
  • Ability to handle project-type work while working individually with little supervision
  • Experience working with production computer software
  • Broad knowledge of product and customer specifications
  • Mechanical knowledge of and ability to adjust gauges, scales, and hand tools
