Job Title: Head, Business Banking

Location: Victoria Island, Lagos
Department: Client Management
Reports to: Chief Client Officer

Job Description

  • Drives the Business Banking Teams to achieve set targets across various lines.
  • Work closely with relevant internal stakeholders to drive the development of more efficient ways of doing business.
  • Ensure that all loans disbursed are repaid when due and the PAR of the business portfolio is within regulatory limits.
  • Ensure periodic/regular training and development of all members of the Business Banking Team.
  • Identifying key areas for improvement in the business process and driving the same.
  • Attending periodic meetings with other senior members of the business.
  • Generating new business opportunities and driving new product development in line with various business needs of customers.
  • Generating quality sales leads for the business

Accountability:

  • Ensure a minimum of 100% achievement of assigned targets.
  • Ensuring the portfolio quality (PAR) remains within regulatory limits.
  • Ensure the team maintains a minimum of a B audit rating.
  • Develop strategies to ensure sustainable growth and profitability in line with the Bank's goals.

Qualifications

  • A good 1st degree in humanities, social sciences, administration, or any related field.
  • Added professional/academic qualifications or certifications will be an advantage.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years banking experience with a particular focus on growing and managing a significant SME/Business Banking loan and deposit portfolio and leadin people.
