We are a cutting-edge robotics startup based in Colorado that specializes in the development and manufacturing of innovative robotic products. We are getting traction and scaling the team this year.  Most of our engineering team is now in China and we would like to build the development capability in the US team now.  

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Technical Project Manager for our Robotics division. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing technical projects, with a strong background in robotics, automation, and manufacturing. The role involves leading a team of engineers, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and working with external partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with cross-functional teams
  • Develop project plans and schedules, track progress, and ensure timely delivery of project milestones
  • Lead project meetings and facilitate communication between team members, stakeholders, and partners
  • Identify and mitigate project risks and issues, and develop contingency plans as needed
  • Ensure that project documentation is complete, up-to-date, and organized
  • Manage project budget, resources, and timelines
  • Provide regular status reports to senior management and stakeholders
  • Foster a collaborative team environment and promote a culture of continuous improvement
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in robotics and engineering

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in technical project management, with a focus on robotics, automation, or manufacturing
  • Fluent in Chinese language (Mandarin)
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
  • Experience working in a cross-functional team environment
  • Understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and processes
  • Experience with project management software, such as JIRA or Microsoft Project
  • Knowledge of robotics and automation technologies, including sensors, actuators, and control systems
