Job Description

Play a key role in creating Prime's new robot models, from mechanical to electrical systems.  Conceive designs, build them in Solidworks, simulate and test them and then build the prototypes.  Review the electrical and mechanical designs of other team members in Denver and China and help troubleshoot systemic problems with our existing robots in the field.  Help redesign robots to make them easier to manufacture, maintain selecting cost efficient designs and parts.

Qualifications

  • BS/MS in Mechanical/Electrical/Computer/Automation Engineering with at least 5+ years of experience;
  • A passion for robotics, innovation, and hard work
  • Experience in 3d modeling in SolidWorks and 2D in AutoCad
  • Experience designing robots or industrial automation systems
  • Experienced performing cost engineering
  • Independently motivated with ability to work as part of a team 
  • Experience with cabling or wire harnesses
  • Understanding of safety certifications like UL,CE
  • Project Management skills

Nice to have

  • Programing ability in C++, Python or Java
  • Experience with the kinds of structures in a forklift
  • An interest in the data sciences and analytics
  • An eye for industrial design

Additional Information

Participation in the on-call schedule is required. There may be travel required for up to 2 weeks at a time during a customer implementation.  Flexibility to work in off hours in order to coordinate with the China team is desired.

Compensation Range: 

  • $80,000 - $150,000 US Annually depending on experience
