Job Description

We’re looking for a driven and innovative and experienced ROS Robotics Developer to join our team in West Palm Beach.  We have a customer there that is nearly finished phase 1 deployment.  More phases will require a full time onsite engineer for support and development purposes.

Core Responsibilities

  • ​Manage ROS configuration to handle different hardware across all deployed robots
  • Provide application support to customers
  • Integrate and optimize new features to improve performance and expand the capabilities of our robots, especially related to PLC and robotic arm programming
  • Handle challenging and changing real-world conditions through software
  • Establish and improve communication protocols to the main robot command server and our embedded systems.
  • Join in brainstorms to help adapt to unforeseen issues
  • Assist with investigating and resolving customer support tickets

  • 2+ years of experience working with a ROS based system deployed on real robots
  • Strong C++ and Python coding ability and general software fundamentals
  • Experience with Git
  • Very comfortable developing in Linux

Nice to have:

  • Troubleshooting experience with real-world systems
  • Experience working with hardware and a solid understanding of how to adapt software to applications involving the real world
  • Experience with various controllers including PID, MPC, etc...
  • Experience with path planning algorithms
  • Experience with MoveIt / Robotic Arms or SLAM / Computer Vision
  • Experience with UDP protocols and MQTT message queue.
  • Experience with hardware / sensor selection and integration

Compensation Range: 

  • $70,000-110,000 US Annually
