Job Description

The Accountant is responsible for overseeing financial transactions, maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations. They will analyze financial data to provide insights and recommendations to management, as well as assist with budgeting and forecasting processes.

Qualifications

Responsibilities:

  1. Maintain general ledger accounts by verifying, allocating, and posting transactions.
  2. Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  3. Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
  4. Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and company policies.
  5. Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes, providing input and analysis as needed.
  6. Prepare and file tax returns and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
  7. Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
  8. Analyze financial data and provide insights and recommendations to management.
  9. Monitor financial transactions and recommend improvements to processes and procedures.
  10. Develop and maintain financial databases and spreadsheets.

Requirements:

  1. Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (USGAAP) is a must.
  2. Knowledge in Quickbooks is a must.
  3. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, related field or equivalent experience. 
  4. Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office, particularly Excel.
  5. Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  7. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  8. Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  9. Familiarity with tax laws and regulations.
