Job Description
Job Overview:
Bowlin Group is seeking a skilled Civil Foreman to oversee and lead construction projects. This role is pivotal in ensuring the timely and efficient completion of projects while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality. The Civil Foreman will report to our Walton, KY office location. The position involves significant local work with potential mandatory travel up to two hours outside the local area and occasional weekend work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of construction workers and subcontractors on various civil engineering projects.
- Read and interpret blueprints, construction plans, and project specifications to determine work requirements and plan procedures.
- Establish grade, run a transit, form, excavate, and prepare tower foundations, set and retie rebar, and construct support structures for equipment pads.
- Set concrete forms, pour concrete, and ensure the precise execution of all construction tasks.
- Manage and monitor daily operations, including resource allocation, task assignment, and scheduling to meet project timelines.
- Ensure all site operations are carried out in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations as well as company policies.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and meetings to ensure adherence to safety standards and protocols.
- Resolve problems that arise due to emergencies, delays, or issues with workers or the work performance.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of construction site activities, personnel, and progress reports.
- Communicate effectively with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to provide updates and gather feedback.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work in various outdoor environments and weather conditions.
- Must be physically fit to engage in labor-intensive tasks as needed.
- Ability to traverse uneven terrain, lift heavy objects, and participate in physical labor as necessary.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Civil Foreman or similar supervisory role in construction or related field.
- Extensive knowledge of construction operations and equipment.
- Strong leadership skills and ability to manage and motivate teams.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- High school diploma or equivalent; further education or certification in construction or related field preferred.
- Must qualify for and/or possess necessary certifications, such as a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) if required.

- Pay is competitive and depends on experience.
