Job Description

Collecting and inputting hours and payroll information for a weekly payroll cycle.

Prepare weekly time verification report. Assist with time entry adjustments.

Review vacation requests against available time, keep accurate PTO records for employees.

Verify overtime calculations in the system.

Review payroll register for accuracy in taxable federal, state, and local wages and corresponding taxes.

Review payroll ledger coding.

Resolve payroll discrepancies, address payroll errors.

Respond to payroll questions and requests.

Assist in write-up and updating of policies and procedures and reporting changes.

Review HR inputs of employee profile information, withholdings, direct deposit accounts.

Review and enter garnishments, child support, and other levies into employee profiles.

Process employee advances and paybacks.

Work closely with HR and Finance on payroll-related projects.

Maintain confidentiality.

Qualifications

2 years of prior payroll experience.

Familiarity with payroll taxes helpful.

Understands the importance of deadlines.

Associate’s degree or higher preferred.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel a must. Knowledge of Google Sheets and Google Mail a plus.

ADP Platforms and/or JD Edwards experience a big plus.

Soft skills: Strong work ethic, excellent organizational skills, communication, strong data entry and analysis, accuracy and review of own work, confidentiality, mathematics, reporting, listens well, ability to learn quickly, work in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment and brings an enthusiastic and upbeat attitude to work.

Additional Information

Job Type: Full-time, $16.00/hr, overtime available
