GIS Application Development (Task Lead)

Job Description
- Leads application development team.
- Provides systems engineering and administration support to the Agency GMO.
- Provides technical and analytical expertise designing, developing, enhancing, testing, debugging, and implementing GIS software in accordance with software development best practices.
- Researches, tests, builds, and coordinates the conversion and/or integration of new Commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) and Government off-the-shelf (GOTS) products based on government requirements.
- Assures that all work meets functional and quality requirements.
- Works with other members of Program team (i.e. Infrastructure, Security, etc.) to ensure applications meet all Agency IT requirements.
- Serves as technical lead and subject matter expert for GIS and related development.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 6+ years relevant specialized experience
- 10+ years of experience in working with IT GIS projects
- Experience in Python, JavaScript and other modern technologies
- Experience in PostgreSQL
- Experience in leading/managing GIS teams in Government environments
- Experience implementing and testing Section 508 compliance for software

- Pay: Up to $150K/yr. (Depends on Experience)
