Job Description

  • Provide application and server technical support for Windows 2008/2012/2016 server systems, and general server administration support.
  • Provide on-site and remote support, including configuration management, system maintenance and repair, documentation, and administration for all IT systems, including software and hardware, such as servers, network devices, and peripheral equipment.
  • Support all assigned tasks including system monitoring and performance tuning of systems as well as providing support to the Helpdesk on complex issues.
  • Secure Windows systems using both domain and local policies, and using 3rd party tools to create and execute server compliance reports.
  • Provide support for VPN remote access.
  • Research and provide solutions for all Windows Server/Workstation problems, to include mitigating vulnerabilities found by security and virus scans.
  • Provide support for all storage and backup services across Windows servers,
  • Support daily activities and required services on all server operating systems.
  • Support the use of Microsoft System Configuration Manager (SCCM) and Window Server Update Services (WSUS) as well as patch installation/remediation to all operating systems and applications.
  • Create and modify scripts as required for administration and operational improvement.
  • Monitor and tune appropriate systems to ensure optimum level of performance.
  • Oversee software installations and upgrades.
  • Supports data/media recoverability through system backups and database archive operations.
  • Coordinates and assist in the implementation of new technologies.
  • Create and manage user accounts to include performing account resets and assisting users with login information and assisted users with application functionality.

Qualifications

  • Must hold an active TOP SECRET or CBP clearance
  • 2+ years of experience in supporting Microsoft workshop including administration of Windows server systems; and Active Directory.
  • Experience supporting the integration and implementation of virtualization technologies, specifically VMware and Hyper-V
  • Proven experience supporting the integration and implementation of new applications into an enterprise environment.
  • 2+ Experience with Microsoft Configuration Manager (SCCM)
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate across diverse audiences.
  • Ability to multi-task as well as be strategic, creative, and innovative in a dynamic, fast-paced matrix team environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to think critically and creatively to develop innovative solutions to information technology problems.
