Job Description

This position will be responsible for supporting the enterprise SharePoint farms and performing Site Collection and Farm Administration responsibilities. Technical experience should include configuring SharePoint 2010 architecture features and functions to meet requirements described by business customer. This position also requires an in-depth knowledge and skills to configure and deploy SharePoint features and service applications and include a demonstrated history of troubleshooting and resolving SharePoint permissions, services, application issues, and performance.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist in the upkeep of the Internal SharePoint sites as a farm administrator by working with users to address requirements, usability, accessibility, security and change requests to ensure website functionality
  • Work as a system administrator for SharePoint servers, and work with the infrastructure teams in managing them.
  • Provide support to the client by being part of an On-call rotation that would require working weekends and nights when the need arises.
  • Provide support for deploying applications and perform SharePoint server maintenance tasks over weekends on a rotational basis.
  • Provide training support, SharePoint demonstrations, or other outreach efforts in attempts to maximize SharePoint value to client
  • Assist users and technical support providers in identifying sources of problems and in developing temporary and long term solutions to those problems
  • Assist in the administration of SharePoint user groups used for security permissions, workflows and other SharePoint-based applications
  • Assist in the coordination of the site decommissioning process, including communications with business stakeholders

Qualifications

 

  • 5+ years of experience working as a SharePoint Administrator to include SharePoint 2010/2013.
  • Experience supporting larger and more complex multiple farm environment is a plus.
  • Experience working in a SharePoint team utilizing excellent problem solving and customer service skills is essential.
  • ITIL Foundations v3 Certification is desired.
  • In-depth knowledge of user permissions and permission inheritance in an enterprise SharePoint environment.
  • Ability to administer and troubleshoot windows servers is a plus.
  • Ability to review event logs, SharePoint logs, IIS Logs is highly valued.
  • Ability to properly classify (priority and categorize) all service requests within ticket system
  • Ability to facilitate requirements development, support training, and identify and perform other SharePoint outreach efforts
  • Ability to recommend improvements to the internal processes to maximize customer service levels
  • Excellent time management skills, with ability to juggle multiple priorities and complete tasks on time
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze data sets to determine trends, establish strategies, and make decisions
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate across diverse audiences.
  • Self-starter, ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
