This position will support the Customs and Border Protection Agency by providing MacOS desktop/laptop support in an enterprise environment. The Mac Support Engineer will possess system knowledge in the areas of MacOS Imaging, Patching, System Certificates, PIV (Smart Card) and Active Directory authentication using Centrify, and DISA (STIGs) security hardening guidelines to effectively support and grow these technologies.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Implements, operates, and maintains software distribution and end-point client administration tools through JAMF Casper.
• Provide support for all Mac equipment Apple Laptops, Workstations and Servers.
• Utilize JAMF Casper to ensure a standard version level of MacOS and applications across all Macs.
• Support common MacOS applications such as Adobe Creative Cloud and Microsoft Office 365 and Office 2016.
• Administer Profiles and Policies using JAMF Casper version 9.6 or later.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s degree in information systems or related field.
• 3+ years of experience providing IT administration and/or engineering services.
• 3+ years of experience with Mac in an Enterprise Environment .
• Experience utilizing and maintaining enterprise management systems such as Symantec Management Platform (Altiris), Microsoft Configuration Manager, Active Directory and CMDB.
• Demonstrated experience within a distributed environment of at least 1,000 workstations and/or servers is ideal.
• Good knowledge and understanding of networking fundamentals (VLANS, Switch accesses and configuration etc…)
• Experience with a ticketing system (CMS)
• Experience in macOS desktop and server support skills.
• Experience supporting MacOS across a range of versions.
• Experience using terminal commands and simple Bash scripts.

DESIRED QULAIFICATIONS:

• ITIL v3 Foundations Certification is highly desired, but not required.
• JAMF Casper CCT Certification is highly desired, but not required.
• Apple Certified Associate is highly desired, but not required.
• Experience with Remedy is desired, but not required.
