Job Description

Our client, a Hub Zone certified small business, is seeking a Technical Proposal Writer who can support the proposal development life-cycle. The Technical Proposal Writer will work closely with the Proposal Manager, Business Development Team and Subject Matter Experts to analyze, develop and submit Federal proposals. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with the Federal technical proposal writing. All activities will be in alignment with the company strategic plan for growth.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Analyze RFPs / RFQs / RFIs;
  • Create compliance matrices and develop proposal templates / outlines;
  • Write and edit copy to support content for proposals;
  • Assemble proposal material from assigned sections into clear, concise written material;
  • Incorporate themes and style elements provided by the Proposal Manager;
  • Participate in status meetings and color reviews;
  • Perform compliance checks on proposals, identifying and addressing any gaps; and
  • Participate in proposal production and delivery procedures.
  • Support research to identify proposal opportunities relevant to company's strategic plan;
  • Support in the development of company marketing materials and periodicals

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated understanding of Federal proposal development process best practices
  • Exceptional communication skills (both written and oral);
  • College degree, preferably in English, writing or related field of study;
  • 10+ years of experience with technical proposal writing;
  • Preference will be given to candidates with experience working as part of a business development team in the Federal and Defense industry;
  • Experience and understanding of IT professional services.

  • Pay: Up to $ 90/hr on 1099 basis (Depends on Experience)
  • Clearance: Lawful authorization to work in the US for any employer
