Job Description

What will I be doing?

As a Visual Merchandise, you will be the creative ambassador for the visual merchandising in your store. You will deliver an inspiring visual proposition for the Primark brand, driving commerciality to enhance the customer experience and maximise sales. Here is how it looks in action:

  • Partner with the Visual Merchandising Manager and Store Manager to deliver high visual standards that exceed customer experience and inspire a great store environment
  • Reflect the local Primark customer in the latest trends through excellent product presentation, windows, and mannequin styling, while adhering to Primark guidelines
  • Review and adapt displays making sure they are commercially successful and relevant to the local customer and refresh with alternative products if key pieces become unavailable
  • Champion visual merchandising best practices and principles to create displays that reflect the latest trends and influence the customer journey
  • Utilize knowledge of stock and availability to support customer queries and provide excellent customer service and style advice
  • Provide consultation and advice to colleagues to support the visual proposition throughout the store
  • Launch all new campaigns across the store, effectively, adhering to store guidelines and utilizing input for your line manager
  • Support with management meeting and colleague team huddles, providing regular updates on key visual trends, campaigns, and upcoming visual merchandising activities for the week
  • Maintain all pricing tickets, pictures and poster POS are in line with company POS guidelines

The pay range for this role is: $22.50 - $26.50 This is a good faith estimate of the minimum and maximum we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. The base pay rate offered will account for internal equity and may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region of work, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, among other factors.

To perform the essential functions of this position, colleagues must be able to satisfy the following physical requirements, with or without reasonable accommodation.
This position requires the ability to constantly stand and walk for extended periods, up to eight hours per shift, on hard-surface floors. 

Colleagues must frequently bend, stoop, crouch, kneel, twist, and reach at or above shoulder level while completing merchandising activities.

The role requires frequently lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling merchandise, fixtures, signage, and visual display materials weighing up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lifting items weighing up to 50 pounds independently or with assistance when appropriate. 

Colleagues must be able to move, position, dress, and manipulate mannequins weighing up to 50 pounds, either independently or with assistance when appropriate.

Colleagues must frequently climb, descend, and work from ladders or step stools while installing signage, adjusting displays, retrieving materials, and completing other merchandising tasks. 

The position requires constantly performing tasks requiring manual dexterity, including assembling displays, handling merchandise, using hand tools, operating handheld devices, and completing detailed visual presentation work.

The position also requires movement throughout the sales floor and stockroom, occasional use of stairs where applicable, and occasional work in varying temperature conditions, including outdoor areas or storage spaces where applicable. Depending on assigned responsibilities, colleagues may receive training on the safe use of equipment such as balers, manual pallet jacks, and electric pallet jacks and may be required to operate such equipment when properly trained and authorized. In no circumstances are colleagues who are under 18 permitted to use balers, manual pallet jacks, or electric pallet jacks.
